Ingredients
A Flat Iron Steak 2 1/2 Tbls Olive oil 2 Cloves Garlic - crushed 1 Tsp Parsley 1/4 Tsp Rosemary 1/2 Tsp Chives 1/4 Cup Red Wine 1/2 Tsp Hawaiian Sea Salt 3/4 Tsp Coarse Group Pepper 1/4 Tsp Dry mustard powder Instructions 1. Place the steak inside of a large resealable bag. Mix remaining ingredients together and pour into the bag. Press out the air and CAREFULLY seal the bag. Marinate in the refrigerator for 2 to 3 hours. 2. Heat a nonstick grill pan over medium-high heat. Cooking the steak on each side for 3 to 4 minutes will yield a medium rare steak. Cook longer if desired but be aware the longer you cook it the tougher it may become. 3. Allow the steak to rest for 5 minutes before slicing to allow juices to settle back into the meat. 4. Enjoy! |
Mom says...Fresh herbs are delicious but dried herbs will work just as well.
Basalmic vinegar or lemon juice can be substituted for the red wine. Flavored vinegars can be used too. Add a dash of cayenne or crushed red pepper for a spicier kick. Discard the marinade after using. |
