If you still need some guidance follow this simple recipe.
Slice one lemon and one tangerine and place in a 2 quart pitcher. Add in 6 large mint leaves torn into pieces or crumpled in your fingers. I generally throw a generous amount of ice on top and stir things up a bit. You can also make it in a mason jar with a lid a give it a shake whenever you open the fridge. Sometimes when it gets down to the last 25% I will refill it and get a second or third infusion just like I do with my favorite tea. |
Other great combos for 2 quarts....
8 to 10 strawberries and a dash of vanilla or 1/2 a vanilla bean
10 large basil leaves and a sprig or 2 of thyme
1/2 apple, 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon, vanilla
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon and a hearty dash of cayenne
1/4 cucumber a few slices of honeydew
1/4 grapefruit slices and 6 spinach or kale leaves
The possibilities are endless! Cherries, peaches, berries, frozen fruits, or toss in the last bit of orange juice - let your imagination go wild.
