Today I used my trusty Vitamix. It not only makes delicious soups and smoothies but it made chopping the veggies super quick and easy without having to use a knife or a cutting board. | I Just got back from the gym on a blustery day. I was hungry but wanted something with a bright fresh flavor that could consume my senses and transport me to a warm summer day in my mind. One of the many things I love about my kitchen is it is always filled with fresh ingredients, plenty of the little extras that I can use to kick up the flavor, and quality tools to make things quick and easy. I also used a tangy sweet honey vinegar, a lightly spiced chili sea salt, a delightful jar of sweet onion mustard with horseradish, dried garlic shoots, and some blood orange olive oil. My favorite places for such things are Vom Fass, Sepay Groves, and Penzy's. |
