
Well, growing up in Chicago we had the best of both worlds. Chicago thick crust pizzas AND thin crust pizzas. Luckily I love thin crust and just indulge in thick crust a couple of times a year.

![]() Over the past few years I have noticed that many of my friends who want to lose weight believe they must either avoid eating great tasting pizza or suffer through eating bland frozen diet pizzas. Well, growing up in Chicago we had the best of both worlds. Chicago thick crust pizzas AND thin crust pizzas. Luckily I love thin crust and just indulge in thick crust a couple of times a year. After moving to California I tried everything that passes for pizza on the west coast and nothing came close to our favorites back home. Over the years we have taste tested many combinations of crust, sauce, cheese, and cooking methods to perfect our favorite crusts from Chicago. i have several variations depending upon which pizzeria we have a taste for. But here is the one that we tend to make several times a month. ![]()
